Diversity

The Pennsylvania Continuing Legal Education Board acknowledges the critical importance of diversity in the legal profession and justice system. Because the educational process is fundamentally important to advancing diversity and eliminating bias, the CLE Board actively promotes specialized training on these subjects.

Project Objection: An interactive educational experience on diversity and bias issues in the legal profession

The CLE Board has collaborated with the Carnegie Mellon Entertainment and Technology Center to develop an interactive training on diversity, inclusion and anti-bias. The program is made available to Accredited Providers in Pennsylvania free of charge to build into CLE curriculums and advance awareness of these issues in the legal community.

Objection is an interactive facilitator led program where participants explore realistic workplace situations and contemplate the issues, viewpoints and ethical principles at play. Designed as a flexible program that can offer 1 to 1.5 hours of ethics credit, the CLE Board makes this program available for Accredited Providers to build into their CLE offering schedule.

The program utilizes animated vignettes, audience polling technology and group discussion as its educational design. Program materials include a facilitator guide, audience handouts and technical assets to run the course.
